STENOGRAPH® ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH LEXISNEXIS®
Combination of realtime court text feed and transcript summary tools will provide more efficient, effective transcript management workflow solution for legal professionals

ELMHURST, IL – November 18, 2009 – Stenograph, the leading manufacturer of shorthand writers and realtime software, today announced an agreement with LexisNexis that will further enable the seamless transfer of data between Stenograph's free and market leading CaseViewNet® application and LexisNexis® TextMap® transcript summary solution, for a more efficient, more effective means of monitoring and managing court transcripts.

CaseViewNet, a robust realtime viewing application, accepts a realtime feed from all court reporting translation software. When connected to a licensed CaseViewNet reporter, the realtime viewer also allows for simple network hookups and instantly refreshes all connected computers with edits made by the court reporter. TextMap software creates a searchable database of electronic transcripts from case depositions, examinations and other proceedings that enables users to better search and manage transcripts as part of their litigation workflow.

Under terms of the new agreement, CaseViewNet will automatically be installed when TextMap is purchased and downloaded by users. While the two applications will remain separate, they will function together so legal professionals can receive and interact with a realtime feed through CaseViewNet, but also seamlessly send court transcripts directly to TextMap with all added marks and annotations.

"There have already been many instances of court reporters getting requests for CaseViewNet from attorneys that have standardized on LexisNexis TextMap and we would anticipate seeing a lot more as a result of this agreement. Reporters should be ready," said Stenograph president, John Wenclawski. "We  are confident that the added capabilities from CaseViewNet will provide TextMap users a winning combination."

"The realtime capability added by CaseViewNet directly addresses a need our TextMap clients have expressed a desire for," said Craig Bennett, vice president and general manager of litigation workflow solutions at LexisNexis. "With the combination of these two leading applications, our clients now get the best of both worlds, and initial feedback has been excellent."

Version 10.06 is a free upgrade to users already on Case CATalyst 10. If you’re interested in upgrading but are not on version 10 yet, please contact a Stenograph representative at 800-323-4247 for more information.
