ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Cindi Hartman, Stenograph’s Training Program Manager is recognized as one of the top instructors in the industry.  Her extensive knowledge and over 20 years of experience working with official and freelance court reporters, scopists, firm owners and other machine shorthand professionals is unparalleled.  Cindi is ready to deliver practical, valuable information that you can begin using immediately, in a format that’s easy to understand. She’s prepared to answer your questions and to help you meet your goals.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

It's up to you! Equipment is not required. Some people prefer to have a day off from packing up and toting their equipment! Some find that paying attention to their own equipment can be distracting and detract from the learning process. Others are more comfortable having their notebook computers handy.

All participants will be provided with a detailed workbook for all topics covered and the instructor will use a projector display of the current release version of the software.

If you do choose to bring equipment, we recommend the following:

• A notebook computer with the most current version of Case CATalyst Version 11 installed
  Note: It will not be possible for the instructor to update your security device or install the most current version of software at the workshop.
  
• Your security device
  
• Your computer’s power cord
  
• A power strip
  
• It is NOT necessary to bring a writer for any of these classes.

IMPORTANT

Please make sure to test any and all equipment you plan to use at the workshop prior to arriving. Due to limited time and consideration for other attendees, the instructor will NOT be available to troubleshoot hardware, operating system or software issues at the workshop.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

• No recording equipment allowed.
  
• Dress casually and comfortably. Room temperatures can vary so bring a sweater/jacket.
  
• To hold down costs, we ask that you make your own arrangements for lunch and parking.
  
• Coffee, hot tea and soft drinks will be offered during the day.
