Case CATalyst set a new standard for Computer Assisted Transcription (CAT) software. Case AudioSync
AudioSync set the standard for realtime synchronization of audio with text as transcription aid. Click and play while editing, proofreading or even while still recording the proceedings to double-check written testimony. Adjust the playback speed without distortion and replay as many times as needed to get it right. Slow it down to help you understand a garbled or faint speaker. Speed it up and scroll text while playing audio when you are proofreading.

Global Suggest
Global Suggest helps to quickly define untranslated or mis-stroked steno as new words and phrases without tedious retyping of something you've already defined. If you’ve written something new or differently than you did last time, with fewer strokes, more strokes, stacked strokes, missing keys, etc. just pick from the suggested list and eliminate typing. It learns as you use it and offers logical and time-saving choices right at your fingertips!

Spontaneous Number Formatting
Write 'em as you hear 'em. Spontaneous Number Formatting spontaneously and intelligently transforms your numbers to look the way they should – without extra effort by you. With this artificial intelligence tool, you'll get amazing results in your realtime and non-realtime jobs.

Fill-In-Fields
Reporters and scopists can rapidly fill in appearance pages by selecting attorneys from a list rather than typing them each time. Once you enter a firm's or attorney's information the first time, CATalyst keeps it in a handy list. You'll never retype a firm's name, address or attorney's name again!

Undo and Undo Globals
Quick and easy recovery of errors in editing or globaling just when you need it. Global Undo is so H-U-G-E others have imitated it but none have matched it!

Intuitive Replace
Selectively replace text as you edit without wasting your time retyping the same replacement text again and again. Intuitive replace suggests what you used the last time you replaced the same text so you can just pick it and move on.

Keyboard Maps and Macros
Imagine the time you’ll save with a macro at the end of a job, for example, when your macro inserts a title and a certificate page and returns you to the top of the job…in one easy step.

Redaction
Blocks out and removes sensitive or private information from transcripts created in ASCII, HTML, RTF/CRE and PDF. ;Also strips out the information when sending to a caption encoder and any other realtime output to further protect privacy.

You can instantly start a fresh realtime job even in the midst of another job. It's great for working a calendar call or when you need to get going fast!

Lock Clipboard Items keep copied or cut text safe and sound. Reuse difficult but frequently used text without retyping and lock the clipboard item to prevent accidental replacement. Unlock one or all items.

Hotspots now includes untranslates and empty fields so there's an at-a-glance "to-do" list for your first-pass edit. .

Brief It - enhanced with Suggest a Brief. Write or type a word or phrase and request a brief prior to it even appearing in realtime testimony so it will be ready when you need it. There's no need to wait until a phrase translates properly to get a suggestion, just request it! When you use it, it will be automatically j-defined.

Search all dictionaries for those elusive entries by steno, text or entry type. You don't have to remember which dictionary an entry might be in, you'll see matching results across all dictionaries. Simply double-click an entry for direct access.

Color Coding for Job status. With one quick look, know the progress of each job. Colors are automatically applied to a job folder based on Job History. It will help you track your progress and/or that of your scopist more easily.

Index Template Wizard. Step-by-step, screen-by-screen assistance helps you set up your personal index format. A collection of popular index examples (templates) allows you to select what's best for you, eliminating the need to create one from scratch. Once set up, you'll never have to manually type an index again.

Custom Reminders. Create custom messages for your eyes only to remind yourself to pack your router, collect exhibits, back-up your job, take your security device or even remind yourself to pick up pizza on the way home. One personal reminder appears when you close Translate/Edit and another one when you close Case CATalyst.

Create Job Report. Avoid tedious retyping of job details that already exist in the transcript. Case caption, attorneys present, date and time details, copies, number of pages, and countless other pieces of information that are filled in using Fields are re-used to help create your job sheet. Additional text can be added after you build the job report.
